The Work

Miriam’s work: spoken stories in your ear and on the stage…

My passion is to weave words and emotion into pieces that help us remember who we are and where we come from. I draw on my personal history and my footing in cultural tides. I hope that listeners will reflect on their own experience and smile at the similarities and differences.

Each week I post a new piece to this website for listening. Pieces continue to go through the transformation into live performance. Eventually the writer will leave them alone and the actor will emerge to take over the job. They become something else entirely. And then I sweep the stage and start over.
